Total Yarding: 1407 (+496)


The supply of stock at Warwick increased by 500 head to 1,407. All the regular buyers attended and operated on a dearer market for all classes. Yearling cattle to restockers and to feed sold to dearer trends with bullocks to processors up from 2c to 16c/kg. Light weight and medium weight cows to processors lifted from 20c to 30c/kg with the heavy cows firm.


 Yearling steers in the 200-280kg range to restockers made 530c to average 511c/kg. Yearling steers over 280kg to background sold to 508c with those to feed at 498c/kg. Yearling steers to feed for the domestic market made 494c to average 471/kg. Heavy yearling steers to feed sold to 490c and averaged from 451c to 472c/kg. Yearling heifers in the 200-280kg range to background sold to 420c and averaged 399c/kg. Yearling heifers over 280kg to background made 410c to average 384c/kg. Medium weight yearling heifers to feed made 442c to average 376c/kg. Heavy yearling heifers to the wholesale meat trade made 448c to average 413c/kg.


Bullocks to processors sold to 450c and averaged from 430c to 438c/kg. Grown heifers to processors made 422c to average 414c/kg. Light weight plain conditioned to restockers sold to 348c with those to processors at 361c to average 339c/kg. Heavy score 3 cows to processors made 388c to average 372c/kg. The best heavy cows topped at 405c and averaged 386c/kg. Heavy bulls to processors made 395c to average 379c/kg.
