Total Yarding: 1682 (+402) | Sheep Yarding: 684 (+170) | Lamb Yarding: 998 (+232)
The supply of stock at Warwick increased to 998 lambs and 684 grown sheep. One major processor was absent from the buying panel however with the competition from the local wholesalers prices remained firm to dearer for the trade and heavy weight lambs. Young lambs to restockers sold to dearer trends with hoggets and mutton improving in price from $11 to $25/head.
Light weight young lambs to restockers sold from $52 to $92/head. Young lambs over 12kg to restockers sold from $114 to $135/head. Young lambs to the butcher trade sold from $140 to $170 with those over 20kg at $222/head. Older lambs in the 18-20kg range to feed sold from $135 to $162/head. Lambs in the 20-22kg range to the butcher trade sold from $193 to $234/head. Trade weight lambs to processors sold from $247 to $281 with the best heavy lambs at $310/head.
Dorper and crossbred hoggets to processors sold from $140 to $256/head. Merino ewes to restockers sold to $188 with dorper ewes to processors at $118 to $201/head. Wethers to processors sold from $170 to $220/head. Ram lambs to the butcher trade sold from $168 to $237/head. Rams to processors sold from $172 to $190/head. Ewes and lambs sold to $290/unit.
